Opening of Bisbee, rough seas and a great time.
I've fished in many areas of Mexico and stayed away from Cabo for a number of years. Started coming back to the Baja about 9 years ago, fishing mostly PLC. There are so many boats and choices so it was nice to have a contact such as Titos. Titos was recommended by a friend and I really enjoyed his professionalism and dependability. He presented all the options, bare boat or the whole enchilada and you just show up. In the past being a control freak, I opted for the bare boat and had to make sandwiches, get beer and water, licenses and get everybody down to the boat on time. Fortunately I opted for the whole enchilada so all I had to worry about was get everyone out of bed and down to the boat. Even then, one of the party, partied too hardy and was an hour late. Titos was there to greet us, he had the lunch on board with water, sodas and other munchies. He was very patient as we waited for the straggler. We had the best Father and Son duet, the Dos Raymundos who took exceptional care of us. It was the opening of Bisbee and we had a chance to see some serious big boy toys as we cruised past all the multi-million dollars fishing yachts staging for the shotgun start. We got out in front of all the boats and into some rough seas due to the north winds but had a number of dorado in the boat before the Bisbee began. The Dos Raymundos worked together like they've been doing this their whole lives. Young Raymundo was an excellent host. Besides his deckhand duties, every time he went below, he would asked if anyone needed anything, water, soda, chips. Despite some very rough conditions, we caught 7 dorado and landed 6. The icing on the cake in washing machine conditions was a 100 lb Sail. My son in law reeled the fish in and had we entered the Bisbee, this fish would have won the daily pool.
